Big sound for a home speaker system used to mean a big footprint. But JVC’s new SP-FT speakers don’t waste any of your indoor real estate – when paired with the streamlined AX-FT amplifier, they can even be mounted on the wall.

The 30-watt SP-FT speakers measure just 31mm thick. They can be wall-mounted, or placed on the floor with their dedicated stands. The AX-FT home theater amp provides up to 80 watts of power over four channels, and supports Dolby Digital, DTS, and AAC sound. The amplifier is a bit thicker than the speakers at 18.6 cm, but still easily wall-mountable.

The SP-FT speakers and AX-FT amplifier are scheduled for release later this year, and will be available in either black or white. Exact price info hasn’t been released yet, but the pair of speakers and the amplifier should each be available in the low $200 range.
