This is silly. The Zeiss Victory HT 8x42 has been superseded 5 years agony the Zeiss Victory SF 8x42, which offers sharper optics, better ergonomics and a wider field of view for a more immersive experience, with only a small loss in transmission. The 8x42 HT is also discontinued and not available for sale any more. The Zeiss SF 8x42 competes with the 8.5x42 for the title of the world's best binoculars (the Swarovski is sharper, the Zeiss has wider FOV and less "rolling ball" when panning). The best place to get recommendations for Binoculars is the BirdForum binoculars forum.
