The brightest flashlight that uses AA batteries is the Nitecore Caveman EA81, which shines at 2150 lumens. It takes eight AA batteries and costs about $120.
It’s waterproof to IPX-8 Standard (1.5 meters) and impact resistant to 1.5 meters. It has a micro-textured reflector and it uses the quad-die CREE X-LAMP XHP50 LED.
The Nitecore Caveman EA81 is available on Amazon for about $120.
I recommend powering this flashlight with low-discharge rechargeable AA batteries.
OK so this is an OLD post. You can now get one 7 years later for a fraction of that cost that only uses 3 AA batteries and has 5000 lumens, uses the cree T6. Best of all, under $30. Get a couple sets of rechargeable batteries for spares, and you’re all set. Or, heck just buy 4 for the price of this thing in the article.
Thats a lie. You could never get the amperage from two AA batteries to get 5000 lumens
where can the nitecore WAX be sourced in SA at how much?
